“Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace. Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre and harp and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations and men of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebudchadnezzar had set up.”
Daniel 3:6-7

“Shadrach Meshach and Abednego replied to the King, ‘Oh Nebudchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand. But even if he does not, we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up”

Daniel 3:16-18

I live every day cognizant of the fact that every person I meet is made in the image of God.  C.S. Lewis said it best

“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare.
All day long we are, in some degree helping each other to one or the other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all of our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit – immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.”

C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory

The bullhorn blares, “Kneel at my command and repeat after me the accepted language of contrition. If you don’t… fire will enter the narrative!”
Mourn with those who mourn? Absolutely. Respect the right to protest? Absolutely Reflect on some serious issues? Of course. Kneel at the feet of a mob? I reserve my kneeling for my Lord.
How does that song go?
Red and Yellow Black and White, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world

“I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2
